Security Forces in Taiz Hand Over Suspect in Brigadier General Yahya Wahesh Assassination

Security forces in Taiz Governorate have apprehended and handed over an individual sought in connection with the assassination of Brigadier General Yahya Wahesh, commander of the First Brigade of the National Resistance. The handover followed a report from the Directorate of Police in Hodeidah Governorate.

Security media reported that the Hodeidah Police Directorate had issued a notice regarding a wanted suspect in the assassination of Brigadier General Wahesh. Taiz Governorate Police responded to the report, apprehending the suspect within the provincial capital and transferring him to the State Security apparatus in Taiz.

The security information further stated that the Director of Hodeidah Police, Brigadier General Najib Warraq, dispatched a representative from the Hodeidah Police, accompanied by a representative from State Security in Hodeidah, to receive the suspect from State Security in Taiz. The individual was then brought to join others apprehended by security agencies in the West Coast region.

The Director General of Hodeidah Governorate Police, Brigadier General Najib Warraq, and the Commander of the Hodeidah Front, Brigadier General Zayed Mansar, reportedly monitored the process of apprehending the suspect until his arrival with the Hodeidah Police representative.
