Fire Engulfs Wooden Cargo Ship in Aden's Ma'alla Port

A massive fire broke out on Thursday morning aboard a wooden cargo ship docked at the Ma'alla Port in Aden, Yemen's interim capital, causing extensive material damage but no human casualties.

Eyewitnesses and local residents reported seeing intense flames and thick plumes of smoke emanating from the vessel, locally known as "Al-Zaeema" or "Al-Sanbouq." The incident caused concern among those in the vicinity of the port quay before emergency response teams intervened.

Sources confirmed that the fire's damage was limited to the ship's structure and material components, with no reported injuries or fatalities.

The cause of the blaze remains undetermined. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the fire.
