A projectile of unknown origin reportedly fell near an oil tanker in the southern Red Sea, according to the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO). The incident occurs amid a marked increase in attacks by Houthi militants on maritime traffic.

The UKMTO stated that an oil tanker reported the incident, confirming that neither the vessel nor its crew sustained any damage or injuries. The identity of the tanker and its owner have not been disclosed.
