Yemeni Journalists Syndicate Condemns Violent Attack on Journalist Tawfiq Al-Qadami

The Yemeni Journalists Syndicate has strongly condemned the brutal stabbing of journalist Tawfiq Saad Saleh Al-Qadami, demanding an immediate and transparent investigation into the incident that occurred in Sanaa.

According to reports provided by the victim's family, Al-Qadami was subjected to a violent assault involving a bladed weapon on the morning of Monday, September 14, 2026, in the Daris district of the capital. The attack resulted in several stab wounds, including a critical injury to the lower neck area.

In a formal statement, the syndicate called upon the de facto authorities in Sanaa to conduct an urgent inquiry to uncover the circumstances and motives behind the assault. The organization emphasized the necessity of swiftly apprehending all individuals involved and ensuring they are referred to the competent judicial authorities to face legal consequences.

The syndicate further stressed that the investigation must remain free from any external interference or pressure that could lead to impunity for the perpetrators. Furthermore, it urged the relevant authorities to prioritize the safety of Al-Qadami and his family, providing necessary protection in light of the severity of the attack.
